• ALL comic relief moments, which were few, were unable to get even the most distant grin out of me or even a giggle out of the audience. C-3PO and R2-D2 were way funnier than Merry and Peppin.

• the fight scenes in Moria went on a bit too long. The firey monster looked way hokey and fake.

• the dwarf Gimli, played by John Rhys-Davies a.k.a. Sallah in INDIANA JONES, and the blonde archer played by Orlando Bloom were completely useless in the film. Barely said or did anything.

• I can't really criticise the movie itself for this, but Gandalf's death felt simply wrong. I know it must've happened in the book too, but I was really upset by this event and it almost made me lose interest. Although I admired that this event almost moved me to tears, which is a sign of good character development, it p* ed me off, simply. In STAR WARS it felt right and logical that Obi-Wan had to die, but here it felt like they'd killed Han Solo right away. He was the most interesting and engaging character and now we'll never see him again. Too bad.

All of this said, I couldn't find anything else bad to say. I enjoyed this movie a lot, and it's already in my top 20 list of favorite movies. It shows that you don't need to have read Tolkien's books to enjoy this movie. I gave this movie a 9.

Who loves Frodo? 1. When I listen to this soundtrack, I feel like life-related problems are so meaningless and I can do anything with my life and eternity. I miss my friends that I never met before. Fluffy clouds. Watches lord of the rings me: runs around my backyard barefoot for hours every day yelling “gandalf. 1:08:49 - 1:09:00 I crack up every time. Gandalf: The ring is altogether evil. No one can use it. Boromir: But it is a gift. Legolas: face palm Gandalf: Did I stutter or something. 1x03 dummy dancing.

The Lord of the Rings has finally made its way to the big screen, and has arrived in a brilliant, stunning fashion. From the costumes to the score to the special effects to the atmosphere, everything about FOTR is perfect. The story, which follows the journey of the all-powerful One Ring, is driven astonishingly by incredible acting from everyone involved. This is the best film of 2001 and a breathtaking start to what should be cinema's finest trilogy of all-time.

Can't help but have a smile on face and tears in my eyes watching this scene. Why can't all jobs be this cool. This movie was so bad when I saw it in theaters.

See this thing dance make me so weird 1:12:02 but i like his voice. I actually like this a lot maybe because the amount of CGI it has. If you read The Silmarillion, you might reach a different conclusion. Frodo telling Samwise about Smeagol maybe I can bring him back.

Biography Sean Patrick Astin (né Duke; February 25, 1971) is an American actor, voice actor, screenwriter, director, producer, family man, author, marathon runner, political activist and philanthropist who is well known for his film debut portraying Mikey in Steven Spielberg's Guniji (1985), for playing the title role in the critically acclaimed Rudy (1993), and for his role as the beloved Sam Gamgee in the Academy Award winning trilogy, Gospodar prstanov: Bratovscina prstana (2001), Gospodar prstanov: stolpa (2002), and Gospodar prstanov: Kraljeva vrnitev (2003). Astin was born Sean Patrick Duke on February 25, 1971 in Santa Monica, California. His mother was actress Patty Duke.
